Forensic science is crucial for the detection or investigation of crime and its associated procedures eg. gathering and analysing the evidence by analysing fingerprints, footprints, blood spatter etc. As forensic experts work at the crime scene including cyber crimes (law enforcement) and in the laboratory and the training and education of forensic scientists must provide a solid scientific background and a broad base in criminalistics. This course will provide the required forensic training which in turn would enable candidates to gain or hone existing skills through practical classes and lab work, expand their analytical and critical thinking horizons, computer training, scientific writing etc. this course would give the candidates an opportunity to practice medical diagnostic labs, as medical examiners, offices, prosecution attorney offices, hospitals, clinical chemistry laboratories, crime laboratories, law enforcement, education, and criminal defence etc.

  1. Cyber Forensics Investigation– Introduction, Investigation Tools, eDiscovery, Digital Investigations Search and Seizure of Computers, Recovering deleted evidences, Password Cracking etc.
  2. Cell Phone Forensics – Introduction to mobile phone technology and forensics along with its processes; Digital Evidence Handling incuding mobiles, SIM Card related issues; Expert Opinion Report Writing, Ethics for the Expert Witness etc.
  3. Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examiner – Introduction Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination; Roles and responsibilities of an Examiner; Fraud Reports; Honesty Testing, Different types of frauds and investigations eg against organizations, consumer,; Avoiding common mistakes in fraud risk assessment and examination etc.
  4. Forensic Science – Basics, Laws, Procedures, Investigations, Toxicology, Forensic Medicine, DNA and Serology, Criminal Profiling; Forensic Psychology, Evidence Act, Firearms, Arsons, Explosives and the Investigation of Bombings (Ballistics) and other important issues.
